| I'm sorry I
haven't posting any sort of news articles or released any new updates in
a long time. So today I am writing this article to let everyone know
that rs sidekick is not dead. There will be an update for rs sidekick
sometime soon. So if anyone has any suggestions that you would like to see in the next update whether its a new feature or to change something, please email me. Also if anyone is interested in helping me to get the update out faster, I could really use a list of the missing quest guides. If anything is missing from any of the guides or experience calculators feel free to email me about that too. Lately I have been working on the forum and the site and I would really like to add some new flash games to the games section of the site, so if you have any fun flash games that you play on other sites please send me an email and I will try to get it added. Release: RS SideKick v1.06 |

| RS SideKick
v1.06 has now been released as promised. This update doesn't add any
huge new features but I do think it is worth downloading. I didn't have
anyone to beta test this version so I either had to do it myself or wait
til someone got on that could do it, since I didn't want to postpone
v1.06 any longer I tested it myself so if anyone finds any bugs or
unreadable text, please
email me
so they can be fixed. Below is a list of all the new features and fixes. Features and Fixes Include - New Visual Look - Custom Theme Option - RuneScape Window Tools Menu Updated - Status Bar Added to Community Tab - Small Improvement to Image Sig Generator - 10 Quest Guides Added - Prayer, Mining, Fishing, Runecrafting, Woodcutting, Firemaking, Agility, and Thieving Exp Calculators Updated - # Loads Column Added To Some Exp Calculators Fixed: Small Bug With Info Input Tool Fixed: File -> Exit Code Wasn't Working Correctly In a future update I hope to fully implement themes where you can completely change the colors and style of everything. In v1.06 I started on this by allowing you to now choose a Custom Theme from the File menu which will let you choose any picture you want off your computer. You can get this update by opening rs sidekick running the updater or downloading it from the download center. |

News: RS SideKick & News |

| I am posting
this news article just to assure everyone that rs sidekick will be
updated soon. I have not forgot about rs sidekick or decided to quit
working on it. I was working on it so much that I just got a little
bored with it but now that I have taken a break from working on it and I
am again ready to start working on it and get an update released as soon
as possible. I know it has been many months since an update has been
released so I would like to thank everyone who has still continued to
use rs sidekick even though it has become a little out of date. Anyway,
I will post more news on an expected release date soon. In other news, the forum has been updated and I have enabled image verification for registering new accounts. I had to do this because in the past few weeks someone has been abusing the forum by creating many accounts on the forum. Along with this update I have added some new theme styles for you to choose from and also I changed the default style to AcidTechTigerEx. While I was clearing out all of the spam accounts that were created I took the time to remove all users who had a post count of 0, so if you just recently registered and didn't make a post then your account was probably deleted. Please feel free to register again. Also I removed all accounts that had a post count of 2 or less and were more than one month old. Finally, I would like to thank everyone again who has supported rs sidekick and recommended it to their friends and family. :-) |

| I would just
like to let everyone know that in the past few days I have added 15 new
games to the Games Section. I will try
to add new games regularly. I will not always post a news article when
new games are added, but on the Games Section page it tells what the
newest games are so you can try them out. I will post some news later on this week with some new features that RS SideKick v1.06 will have. |

Release: RS SideKick v1.05 |

| RS SideKick
v1.05 has now been released. I didn't plan on adding a lot of new
features and content to this update but as I worked on it, I kept adding
more and more. So this is actually a pretty big update with a lot of new
things. You can either run the updater in rs sidekick or visit the
download center to get
this update. Features and Fixes Include: - Slayer Exp. Calc Added - Farming Exp. Calc Added - Hiscores Lookup & Compare - Average Street Prices Guide - Making Money Guide - High Alchemy Table Guide - Lingo Guide - Key Guide - Cabin Fever Quest Guide - Cooking Guide Updated - Music Player Guide Updated - 7 New Dungeon Maps Added - 9 Mining Maps Added - Changes & Updates to Web Browser A few other small changes were made such as the refresh news button has been moved and you can now save image signatures as a .png file. |

Update Tomorrow |

| It will be
very likely that version 1.05 will be released tomorrow. I had planned
on it being mostly maps and a few new guides but as I was working on it,
I was able to add a few new features. Both the farming and slayer
experience calculators have been added and a few other features. I will post a full list of features added tomorrow when version 1.05 is released. |

Site: Media Portal Reorganized | |
| The flash
games have been moved to the Games Section
page. So now the Flash Section only has flash movies. Also on the Games
Section, it now displays a small picture of the game beside the link to
play it. A new visitor counter has been added to the site instead of the Bravenet one. It is located under Site Stats to the right on every page. This new counter is much better than the old one and it also doesn't have the Bravenet advertisement under it. Update: 8 games have been added to the Games Section. |

Site: Search Now Available | |
| A site
search is now available on the right side of all pages. It will search
everything on rs-sidekick.com including the forum. But I would suggest
that you search the forum using the forum search for more accurate
results. The site search runs through Google. Update: A few new flash games have been added to the Flash Section. Also the rs sidekick features page has been updated to be accurate for v1.04. |

News: History and v1.05 | |
| I have added
a version history of rs sidekick which
was a small site update that no one probably has noticed. When you go to
the download center page, at the bottom there is a link that will let
you view it. Basically it just shows all the version releases of rs
sidekick so you can see how it has grown over time. As for v1.05, it is very possible for a release to be this coming weekend. I am still asking for everyone's help in submitting their maps. If you have any maps, whether they are mining maps, dungeon maps, or any other kind, please click here to submit them to be used in rs sidekick v1.05. You dont have to be limited to just submitting maps, feel free to submit any information you think would be useful. Please be sure to include your name somewhere on anything you submit so you will receive credit if it is used. Update: The program screenshots for rs sidekick have been updated so they show version 1.04. |

SideKick v1.04 is finally here. This version doesn't have a bunch of new
features but it does have quite a few missing quest guides and a few

Site: New Section & Links Redone | |
| A new
games section has been added to the site. It is called
Games Section and can be found to the left
in the link menus. Currently it only has one game, but it is a very
addicting game and I suggest you play it for a while. You can be
surprised at how fun it is. Also I have redone the link menus to the left to make things easier to get to so you can find what you want quicker. Update: I have just added 7 new flash games to the Flash Section for everyone to play. |

Today I
had planned on redesigning the news articles but once I
started to design them I began to redesign the whole site
 .
Hopefully everyone likes this new look for the site. Feel free to post
your opinions and any suggestions you have in this
thread.I think that this new design looks more like RuneScape than the old design did. This design has more of a medieval look to it which is why it reminds me more of RuneScape than the old design. In the next few days I will be reorganizing the link sections to the left so it is more easy to find what you are wanting to find. |

Site: Submit File and Tweaks | |
| Yesterday I released
the File Uploader so that you can now
have various files hosted on the rs-sidekick.com website. Today I have
added another uploader for people to submit info such as guides, maps,
etc. This Submit Info uploader is pretty
much the same as the file uploader except that any files submitted using
it I will look at and possibly use in rs sidekick. Also they are deleted
once I have used them. Whereas if you use the File Uploader, the files
will always be hosted on the site unless they are inappropriate. I have also tweaked the File Uploader to allow you to upload 4 files at a time, but the max size for all files combined is still only 512kb. I would also like to remember everyone that the File Uploader will let you upload most image types, document types, and sound files. If you want to request another type or extension to be allowed please or if you have any other questions email me. |

| A few days ago I
posted a news article asking what everyone would like to see added to
the site, since I have so much website available. So I decided to add a file uploader so that everyone can upload files to the site. Now www.rs-sidekick.com is similar to a free web host. You can upload a variety of image files, .doc files, and .txt files, .wav and .mid files. The file size limit is set to 256kb per file. This limit max change once I see how the uploader is used. Currently you can upload either 1 or 2 files at a time, but feel free to upload as much as you want. Once you upload a file, you will be given a link to that file. Do not forget the link because you will not be able to find it again unless you upload the file again. Occasionally I will check the files that have been uploaded and if I come across any inappropriate files, they will be deleted. If you have any questions, feel free to email me. The RS SideKick File Uploader will be great for uploading image signatures generated using RS SideKick. Try the RS SideKick File Uploader now! |

| Hello everyone! It
has been a very long time since I have posted any news and since any
updates to rs sidekick so I thought that I should post some news so you
know what is going on. First of all, I definitely have not stopped working on rs sidekick. There will be many more updates for it. But currently I just haven't had that much time in the past weeks to really do that much. I hardly have time to ever play RuneScape even. Hopefully nobody has lost interest in using RS SideKick since there hasn't been any updates in a while. So thank you to everyone who still uses and supports RS SideKick. I'm really not sure when v1.04 will be released but there is definitely a possibility of a release this month near Christmas. Another reason there hasn't been many updates recently is the fact that I can't think of that many new features to add that would be useful. So if you have any suggestions at all about a new feature or anything, please visit this link and post your idea. If I don't get any ideas for new features, the v1.04 update many end up being just a content update (quest walkthroughs, guides, maps, etc.) Once again, thanks for continuing to support RS SideKick. |

General: Site Suggestions | |
| Recently my host for
the rs sidekick website upgraded my account so that I now have 500mb of
storage. This means that I have plenty of space to have almost anything
on the website. Therefore I am asking for any suggestions at all that you would like to see for the website. For example, a while ago the Flash Section was added to the website. I am looking for something kind of big like that to add. Another idea that I have been thinking about was to add all the quest walkthroughs, guides, maps, etc. to the website. But that kind of takes away some of the reason to download RS SideKick since you could just use the website instead. So anyway, I'm open to any suggestions that you may have. Site: Google Ads Removed | |
| Some of you may be
glad to know that all Google advertisements have been removed from the
rs sidekick website and also the community. They were removed because just when I was suppose to get paid by them they sent me an email saying that my account was disabled for invalid clicks  .
So I just decided to go ahead and remove them all. Thanks to everyone
who clicked on them to help support rs sidekick but since my account was
disabled I wont be able to get any of the money.I don't plan to add any new advertisements from some other company to the site anytime soon, so the rs sidekick site will be free of all advertisements. |

Features and Fixes Include: - Experience calc additions plus some fixes - Missing quest guides added (Over 10 were added) - Time Calculators (Tools/Utilities) - Rssk Community tab added to main window - Enhancements and additions added to the RS SideKick Forum window (now known as RS SideKick Community) - New splash screen This update may not seem like a lot but many things were fixed that you may not have noticed, especially in the exp calculators. | For about a day or
two I have been working on a large new section to the rs sidekick
website. (Don't worry, time wasn't taken from working on v1.02) It is
called the Flash Section and it has flash movies and games. To start out with I have uploaded 20 flash movies and 9 flash games. Whenever I find a good flash movie or game or someone sends me one I will upload it. Links to the flash section are under Navigation or you can click here. |

News Update: Explanation | |
| As most of you
know, there hasn't been an update for rs sidekick in a
pretty long time and that was because of all the computer
problems I was having. But now everything is straightened
out and seems to be working great. Hopefully I will have an
update out within the next few days. I will also be working on a new site layout and design. Some of you may have noticed there are pop up ads on the site, I did not mean to put them on. They are caused by bravenet, which is the weekly poll and counter. I will get them removed as soon as possible. |

Site News: General Information |  |
| The site is now
mostly finished and just needs a few small things updated still. One
known issue is that when you log into the forums and check Remember Me
and then visit the main site it will log you out due to a small error in
the Who's Online code. This will be fixed soon. I would also like to remind everyone that if you registered on the old site that you will have to register again. Sorry for the inconvenience but registering won't take but a minute or two. Click here if you have not already registered and would like to register now. Site News: New Site Layout | |
| I'm sure
everyone has noticed the new look for the site by now unless
this is your first time you've been to rs-sidekick.com I decided I wanted to get rid of registering for the site only since so few features on the site needed it. So instead of having people register on the site, I will now have it set up so that you will register on the forums for an account. I also think I like this new look I designed because it was not pre-made, I made the whole site myself. A few small site features have not been finished but will be done soon. Some features I still want to improve on such as the Who's Online and Site Stats.. I hope everyone likes the new look for the site, you can post your comments on the site in the Rssk Forum. |

Preview: Working on Next Version | |
| I will be
starting to work on v1.02 in the next few days. I have some
ideas for a few new features and any missing quests or
guides will be added. The reason for the long delay in updates is that my new computer was having some problems, so I ended up having to clear everything off and reformat it. Now everything seems to be working fine. I'll post a news article on v1.02's progress once I get started. |

| Since it seems
many people have no noticed the forums, I have made a
special block to the left for them. If you haven't already
please register on them (registering on the site does not
also register you on the forums). I have also added another Free Utility to the list which is quite useful. I have been looking at the results of the poll that I added asking what users would prefer and it seems like most people want mostly features with some info added. So I think I will probably add in all the newest quests and finish up the guides. Then I'll also add in missing things on the experience calculators. As for new features, I will have to think of some new things to add. If you have any suggestions at all, please visit the Forums and post it. |
